I did a little research on the Dr. Who image. Apparently it is a 16:9 PAL image converted to HD. Which means it looks great, but is not truly HD (about 50% of the resolution of the typical 1368x768 "almost HD" HDTVs they sell). But where did they get the 1024x768 screen captures that I am using as wall paper on my computer then? I bought a $20 Dr. Who mag. last night, and it didn't have the technical poop on the image. Sigh. There were episode summaries -- next week's is supposed to be heavy on FX.

I have permanently programmed Dr. Who into my PVR, which is good, since I only got home after 8:30 last night after doing my usual chasing around, and besides, if I delay like that, I can skip the commercials and play the Dr. Who theme 5 times. Jennifer started to get into it, "Oh look at those cool computer graphics they made the ghosts out of!". The little one sort of got into it... "Mama, look, Spooks!". I then taught her the traditional Dr. Who technique of hiding behind the sofa when the spooks come out.

Was it just me, or did Rose & the Doctor look like they'd just had a rough and tumble good time coming out of the Tardis the first time last night?

No, we don't have much free time as it is, I'm about 15 movies behind in my "to watch pile" so no Battlestar Galactica (no reason for that, I've never seen a single episode)

My TV is old and crappy and it looked good. It's only been two episodes but I might be hooked.

Do you watch Battlestar Galactica and if so, in HD?
