Can’t get to the MT login page - long story.
Anyway. Two things.
1) This from Sci Fi Wire:
“Sony and producer Steve Bing are spending more than $2 million on a script for a film adaptation of the medieval epic poem Beowulf by Richard Avary and Neil Gaiman, for Robert Zemeckis to direct, Variety reported.”
b> Last night I had the very great pleasure of seeing a not too bad bootleg (no culprits named, but thank you muchly a lot) of Hayao Miyazaki’s new film “Howl’s Moving Castle” based on Diana Wynne Jones’ novel of the same name. I recently read the novel, and enjoyed it immensely, but had been warned that the movie’s deviated from the novel, which was to be expected, but since I enjoyed the novel, I was worried about how the deviations might change the vibe. Well, no problem. a) It’s Miyazaki, and 2) Wynn Jones is said to have enjoyed her screening of it and approved. Can’t wait to see it in the cinema next June.
