Hero

A friend took me to see Zhang Yimou’s Hero yesterday.

God damn, it’s got to be one of the most beautiful movies I’ve ever seen.

A couple of scenes nearly had my crying, one for beauty, and one for sorrow. And I caught my breath a few times, leaning forward, eyes wide, anticipatory glee or dread running through my thoughts…

And it’s got Zhang Ziyi. And Maggie Cheung.

Absolutely cannot do it justice.

Just go see it.

    I have to say too that Maggie Cheung, who played Flying Snow was frigging incandescent. What a beautiful woman, what an actor.

    I had the hots for Michelle Yeoh after seeing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 4 times in three weeks.

    Must be some sort of Zhang Ziyi thing.
